Data stored locally on your device
The extension keeps its working data in your browser's extension storage, on your device only:
- Your settings (daily limits, filters, Safe List, theme)
- Activity logs — who was followed, unfollowed and liked, with dates
- The "never follow twice" memory of accounts already followed
- A randomly generated device identifier (created locally, not transmitted)
This data never leaves your device. It persists until you uninstall the extension or clear its storage from your browser's extension settings.
Data sent to our server
Exactly two things sync to our server (hosted on Cloudflare):
- Your Instagram user ID — the numeric identifier of the Instagram account you use, read from your own browser session
- Your daily action counts — how many follows, unfollows and likes you performed today
These are used for one purpose: enforcing your plan's daily limits (7 actions per mode per day on the free plan; your chosen slider values on PRO) and keeping your usage in sync if you reinstall. Nothing else is transmitted.
What we never collect
- Your Instagram password — there is no password form anywhere in the product
- Your posts, photos, messages or direct conversations
- Your follower or following lists
- Your browsing history or activity on other websites
Payments
PRO subscriptions (€7.99/month) are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record. When you purchase, Lemon Squeezy handles the checkout and we receive your email address solely to deliver your license and subscription receipts. We never receive or store your payment card details.
This website
igautofollow.com is a static website. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics scripts and embeds no advertising or social trackers. We only see the standard, anonymous server logs that our hosting provider (Cloudflare) produces.
Data retention
- On your device: until you uninstall the extension or clear its storage
- On our server: for as long as your subscription is active, plus 90 days after cancellation; free-plan counters are simple daily tallies
Your choices
- Request deletion of your server-side data at any time by emailing us — we will remove the records linked to your Instagram user ID
- Remove all local data instantly by uninstalling the extension from your browser's extension management page
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new "last updated" date. Material changes will also be mentioned in the extension's release notes.
